INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

on formatting the papers to be submitted for publication to the Mathematics and Education in Mathematics Journal

  1. Only original unpublished results in the field of mathematics and informatics, their applications, teaching methods and history of mathematics will be accepted for publication. The text should be concise but clear and precise, and should leave no doubt as to the correctness of the evidence. The contributions of the author(s) and the relationship with other research in the field should be distinguished and clarified. The main sections of the journal are three: Section A (Mathematical Structures), Section B (Mathematical Modeling and Informatics), and Section C (Education in Mathematics and Informatics).
  2. The total volume of the paper should not exceed six pages (any page after the sixth one will be charged at BGN 15). The author(s) should send the following to smb.sofia@gmail.com: PDF file with the text of the paper, editable file in LaTex, Word or RTF format. Font size should be 10 pt, text field 135 mm × 194 mm.
  3. The papers submitted to Section A and Section B must be in English; papers submitted to Section C can be either in English or in Bulgarian.

  • abstract without formulas - in English and Bulgarian;
  • main text - in English for Sections A and B; in English or Bulgarian for Section C;
  • bibliography - in English; bibliography items in Cyrilic alphabet should be transcribed;
  • Mathematics Subject Classification – MSC2020 codes. For Section C consider codes 97-хх.
  • Keywords - in English and Bulgarian.

5. Formulas should be enumerated on the left only if cited further in the text.

6. Figures must be black and white (otherwise the printed image quality may be deteriorated). It is preferable to include the figures in the text. If this is not possible, the place of the image should be clearly indicated in the text. All images should be sent as separate image files of a size not larger than 130 × 190 mm and with sufficient contrast. The allowed image formats are: CDR, WMF, BMP, EPS, PS, JPG or PCX. Non-vector files must have at least 300 dpi resolution.
7. The bibliography should contain only titles that are cited in the text, with their numbers enclosed in square brackets. The arrangement is in alphabetical order of the first author's surname. Sources in Cyrillic alphabet should be transcribed. For a cited article, indicate: author(s) - initials and surname, title, name of the journal, volume number (in Arabic numerals), calendar year (in brackets), number of the first and last page of the article, ISSN.
