Auxiliary projection planes in solving some metric problems

The article considers four problems on constructing a transversal and an axis of crossed lines and one problem on constructing a section of a pyramid with a plane and determining the distance from a point to a plane, solved using the methods of descriptive geometry. The examples shown are presented in Monge projection and axonometry and can be useful in illustrating results achieved by the means of analytical geometry and in teaching descriptive geometry to university students of engineering majors.
